Donald Findlay on the case of Oscar Slater

On Friday 19th April we’ll once again welcome Donald Findlay KC to the Grand Hall, to talk about Oscar Slater (1872 – 1948), who was the victim of a notorious miscarriage of justice in Scotland. Wrongly convicted of murder and sentenced to death, Slater was freed after almost two decades of hard labour. His release came about through the efforts of several journalists, lawyers and writers, including Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Doors open: 6.15pm
Talk starts: 7.00pm
Talk concludes approx.: 8.30pm

Supper follows the talk, served in the intimate setting of our Directors Room. Concludes around 10.30pm.
