The Burrell Collection re-opens on the 29th of March 2022 and we are delighted that our grant of £40k is in place to fund a Learning Assistant and provide over 100 school trips for children across Glasgow and the West.

Awarded in 2019 prior to the pandemic, the funding will enable over 3,800 children from Glasgow’s most deprived areas to visit the museum as private buses will transport them from primary schools, nurseries and early learning centres.

The grant has also supported the recruitment of a Learning Assistant to ensure that school groups receive a formal learning experience which will include facilitated workshops.
