Lord Dean attends Remembrance Sunday ceremony

The Lord Dean, Andrew McFarlane, once again represented the Merchants House at this year’s Remembrance Sunday service at George Square, held at the Cenotaph on 10 November 2024.

Despite it being a damp start to the day hundreds attended the event, with veterans and military personnel joined by politicians, dignitaries and members of the public at the poignant ceremony to remember those who have fought and died in conflict.

Deputy first minister Kate Forbes and Lord Provost Jacqueline McLaren were amongst those who lay poppy wreaths. The Lord Dean attended in his capacity as second citizen of Glasgow.
