Lord Dean rings in the Year of the Snake at Chinese Burns Supper 2025

The Lord Dean was delighted to join guests who gathered to enjoy the annual Chinese Burns Supper at the Hilton Glasgow on the evening of 30th January.

Now in its 12 year (a full cycle of the Chinese zodiac!), the event features a fusion of Burns Night traditions with those of Chinese New Year, and has become a permanent fixture in the China- Scotland business calendar. Organised by the China- Britain Business Council, the night also includes the China- Scotland Business Awards Ceremony, which recognises and celebrates the achievements in trade and investment between Scotland and China.

The Lord Dean attended as the guest of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, London (London ETO), the representative of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government in the UK.

In his capacity as Second Citizen of Glasgow, the Lord Dean attends events across the city regularly. Keep up to date by checking out the Dean’s Blog, or sign up to our newsletter by scrolling to the bottom of this page.
