To fulfil the terms of two bequests received, we need to find suitable charities in the Paisley area to which we can award grants and, to help with this, an event was held in the Tannahill Centre in the Ferguslie Park area of Paisley on 24th January. A number of charities attended to learn more about the House and the session was also attended by Neil Bibby who is an MSP representing the West of Scotland and Col Peter McCarthy, Lord Lieutenant for Renfrewshire. Our presentations were well received and there were many relevant questions from attendees. As a result of the session we expect to receive some new grant applications from the charities represented.
