Shopmobility Paisley & District express sincere thanks to the Directors of Merchants House for our grant of £6,000.

This is wonderful news, this grant will help so many people with mobility difficulties; the ability to access brand new equipment can significantly change lives.

We provide low-cost help to individuals resident in the local area or visiting it, who have mobility difficulties due to disability, infirmity or injury. Motorised mobility scooters and wheelchairs  can be hired for day use or longer-term hire.

The charity is run by volunteers, including school pupils gaining practical experience in a workplace environment.

Membership and day hire of scooters and wheelchairs is free. Accommodating overnight and long-term hire is also available. Why not hire a scooter to take on holiday? Visitors from abroad are all welcome, contact us for costs.

Our mission, always, is to provide a first-class service to everyone.

Being able to purchase brand new scooters and protective scooter covers is a huge investment for our users and will ensure we are able to meet demands placed on us as everyone deserves the ability to ‘get out and about’
