It was an honour to represent Merchants House at the D-Day Commemoration Service and join Colonel Bobby Steele and the members of the Glasgow and West of Scotland Branch, The Parachute Regiment, at the Veterans” Memorial in Knightswood, together with the Lord Provost and Deacon Convener. The short Act of Remembrance was moving despite numbers being restricted due to COVID. It was humbling to be in the company of two of the original veterans.
