“Without the funding granted by the Merchants House we would have been unable to extend our reach to support Glasgow’s most vulnerable young people.

Thanks to the grant we were able to recruit additional Learning Communities Coordinators who manage and support our Homework Group network as well the setting up of home tutoring arrangements between the young people and our wonderful volunteers who give up their time weekly to give a helping hand to help bridge the attainment gap, boost confidence and motivate the young people to re-engage with learning.”

The Volunteers Tutors Organisation were awarded £2,000 in 2019.
