A Royal Visit

It was our great honour to welcome HRH the Earl of Forfar to the Merchants House for the Valedictory Dinner of Alasdair Ronald as he ended his term as Lord Dean and handed the role to May Storrie, CBE.

A hundred guests attended the event which took place in the Grand Hall and included a delicious meal, musical entertainment from harpist Rachel Hair and Arkleston Piping, and speeches from the Lord Dean, Professor Sir Geoffrey Palmer, Dr Corrine Hutton from charity Finding your Feet and of course Alasdair himself, who reflected on his time as Lord Dean and wished the new Lord Dean every success.

HRH the Earl of Forfar enjoyed a tour of the venue and became an honorary member of the Merchants House.
