Cumbernauld Resilience Group

Cumbernauld Resilience group was formed at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in response to the needs of the most vulnerable people in their community. It’s primary aim was to produce and deliver freshly prepared meals and essential groceries to those who were housebound or isolating.

On receiving grant funding their spokesperson Stephen Hughes said “Thanks to the generosity of the Merchants House of Glasgow the grant provided of £2,500 will be used to expand the service by running a non-referral foodbank in a town centre community hall where people experiencing food poverty can drop in and pick up essential foodstuffs.”
