Making a lasting difference: Supporting local lives through Regular Giving
From charities providing urgently needed specialist equipment to terminally ill children, to those tackling sectarianism, promoting youth development, and helping people with mobility issues stay connected to their communities- our Regular Giving programme supports a wide range of organisations making a real difference in Glasgow and the West of Scotland.
This scheme invites our Members, Directors, and Supporters to contribute regularly to the Merchants House of Glasgow, with 100% of every donation passed directly to charitable causes.
In our most recent funding round, we awarded grants through the Regular Giving programme to the following charities:
- React, supporting terminally ill children and their families;
- Clyde Shopmobility, promoting independence for people with mobility issues;
- Nil by Mouth, challenging sectarianism through education and outreach;
- Royston Youth Action, offering vital programmes for young people;
- Glasgow Street Aid, providing emergency care and support on city streets;
- Family Mediation West of Scotland, helping families resolve conflict and build healthier relationships;
- Scottish Youth Dance, nurturing creativity and confidence in young people through dance.

A tangible impact
These grants have a tangible and immediate impact. They help ensure that a child with complex health needs can access essential equipment, that a young person has a safe place to grow and learn, or that someone with limited mobility can remain active and engaged in their community. By addressing urgent and often overlooked needs, Regular Giving helps bridge the gap between hardship and hope.
We’re proud to support these organisations- but we can do even more with your help.
Join us in making a difference
Can you help us support some of the most vulnerable people in our community by setting up a regular donation?
There’s no minimum amount, and the scheme is open to everyone, not just members. Simply visit the Donate section on our website, choose your preferred donation amount and frequency, and amend it at any time.
If you’re eligible, don’t forget to Gift Aid your donation. This allows us to claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give, boosting the impact of your contribution by 25% at no extra cost to you.
Thank you for your support.
