Valedictory Dinner 2023

The Merchants House Valedictory Dinner honours the Lord Dean at the end of their two year tenure. Attended by Directors and Members of the House and friends and family, it takes place in the Grand Hall and is a tradition we are proud to uphold.

This year’s event was held on the 18th of May where Immediate Past Dean Alasdair Ronald and Vice Dean, Andrew McFarlane, took to the lectern to pay tribute to the hard work and commitment of Lord Dean, May Storrie CBE.

Reverend Mark Johnstone commenced the evening by saying grace and Roddy Macpherson gave insight into what happened behind the scenes at ceremonies for the funeral of our late Queen, and at King Charles III coronation. Other speakers included the Lord Provost Jacqueline McLaren and Erin Crombie from charity SAY Women.

Thank you to all who attended and continue to support our charity, we hope you enjoy these photographs from the event.
